Blislight Vendor Spotlight

We are trying something NEW here at Blisslights. Over the past few years, we have connected with a lot of great people. Club owners, theme park designers and mobile entertainers alike have some things in common. They have a passion for entertaining, a desire to stand out from the croud and a love for the Blisslight. Even though we do a lot of diffrent kind of laser design, our flagship product and our name is for the wonderful projector that has revolutionised the laser community.

So we thought we would take time to ecknowlage some of the awesome people that believe in our product just as much as we do. Our first spotlight is on Joe Staniszewski, and his company JBS Entertainment. When I look at his pictures I can obviously see he has set a pretty high bar. Its more than just entertainment value, its also atmosphere. With Joes use of LED uplighting, gobo projectors and Blissdlights, he has certainly put him to the forfront of prefessional entertainers. Please take a moment and read some information Joe has provided, along with how he uses is Blisslight product.

JBS Entertainment has been entertaining guests at weddings and private events since 1996. Based in the Philadelphia suburbs, the owner & Entertainment Director Joe Staniszewski works with his wife, Heather, a certified & registered bridal consultant to bring a “Return to Elegance” to every event they perform at. While clients are requesting our mobile disc jockey services, the current addition of theatrical lighting effects adds more production value to any event. These effects include uplighting, dance floor washes, intelligent lighting, and the addition of the BlissLights laser star field effect.

It was in the summer of 2007, when Joe & Heather were attending the DJ Times Expo in Atlantic City, when they first learned of the star field laser effect. At first glance, there was an immediate WOW factor that neither of them had ever seen before with a laser. Atmospheric factors such as fog or haze weren’t needed & the result was incredible. During the following months, the idea of purchasing a unit was discussed, but it was now a question of “Where to buy one?” since the initial vendor was now unavailable. Just before their New Years Eve event, a single BlissLights Bliss 15 was ordered from our trusted friends Ben & Kat at NLFX Professional. The unit was used to transform an indoor ice skating rink at a private residence into a star-filled universe. The effect was well received to say the least.

Since making that initial investment, JBS Entertainment has purchased an additional two Bliss 15 units, bringing their total inventory to three pieces. As events were booked, and positive feedback was heard from satisfied clients, the idea of adding this to our light show was now shifted into the “must have” category when it was demonstrated to clients at initial bookings - this being done with the help of a BlissLights Laser Wand.

Incorporating this effect into our bridal show booth for the 2010 wedding season has brought potential brides & guests asking “How can I have that at my wedding?” At a recent event, a guest even went so far as to approach us, asking if he could purchase one of our Bliss 15s for his high school’s planetarium at the conclusion of the event! We were happy to see that this effect was so well received by clients, guests, and even the venue staff.

While one Bliss 15 may suffice for your event, we bring at least two. With the third piece, we have more options and flexibility. It can be used for a larger room, or to transform an additional area, away from the dance floor.

JBS Entertainment sees this lighting effect as a certain way to infuse additional elegance, with a more theatrical style of lighting vs. the traditional mirror ball or strobe light. We will certainly recommend the BlissLights line of laser and lighting effects to anyone who asks us about them & look forward to seeing the new products that they are developing.

Custom Bliss

Finding your custom Bliss is what this blog is all about. Now you may be asking "what is a custom Bliss"? Well its quite simple. Blisslights as a company does make some very cool lighting effects. We have also revolutionized the way people see lasers and have a new found appreciation for the very unique art form. Once our clients start using Blisslights they start thinking about different ways to present the effects. We get lots of questions like, "can the laser be a another color"? Or "can you change the color of cloud"?

Well I would like to say ANYTHING is possible and it totally is. We can create a custom laser product for any application. Some designs might cost more than others. It all depends on exactly what your looking to do. And if your thinking about it, then please give us a call. Blisslights would be more than happy to work with you to create your own "custom Bliss". We in house create all our products so we stand by the "Made In The US" motto.

As always, thanks for Reading!

Another happy customer to talk about. Blisslights not only being used by theme parks, professional DJ's but even world reknowd entertainers. I had recently had the oprotinity to be aquainted with one such individual. Alex DePue is one of the top volinists in the world. He is also a fan of Blisslights. "The Fiddler" (as he calls himself) has performed with our product a couple times now and we are thrilled. Alex and I have had conversations and he has said nothing but positive things about the product. That totally brings a smile to my face when a person of his calibur gives us a complimint. Its all worth it! :) If you have the chance, I highly recomend watching this guys stuff on Youtobe. He is AMAZING!
And, now a little more about Alex DePue.

Alex DePue began taking classical violin lessons at age five. He won his first major competition at age 10, and later (age 16) won a competition that entitled him to perform at Carnegie Hall with the National Guild Youth Orchestra under the direction of Joseph Silverstein. He has continued to win competitions and appear as a guest soloist with orchestras and at festivals worldwide. Despite his classical training, Alex became interested in fiddling at age seven, and began competing in old-time fiddle contests at the age of 12. He reigned as the Michigan State Fiddling Champion from 1994-1998; won the first-place trophy at the Walnut Valley National Fiddling Championship in Winfield, Kansas in 1999 and 2005; won first place in the Halletsville, TX “Gone to Texas National Fiddling Championship” in 2000; won first place in the Alabama state fiddle contest in 2006 and 2007; and won first place in the California state fiddle contest in 2007. He has been ranked among the top 10 fiddlers in the nation at the Grand Masters Fiddling Championship (Nashville, TN).

In 2005, Alex placed fourth at the GMFC. Alex served as a judge at the National Oldtime Fiddling Championship (Weiser, ID) in 2008. Alex toured with Capitol Recording artist Chris Cagle from 2000-2006, with whom he regularly appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Television, Great American Country, and VH1 Country. Alex joined legendary rock guitarist Steve Vai for a 2007 world tour that took him across North America, South America, and Europe. Alex’s YouTube (www.youtube.com) videos are from all parts of the globe, and his 1 YouTube hit, 'Owner of a Lonely Heart' (originally recorded by the 80's rock band, Yes) has been viewed worldwide over a million times.

Alex recently teamed up with Mexican guitarist Miguel De Hoyos. Their unique international sound has been praised by elected Mexico officials in B.C. South, MX and their spectacular musical performances are being extolled by popular English-written Mexican publications such as the Gringo Gazette and the Baja Times. Alex and Miguel recently released their first recording 'Underground Whispers in A'. In addition to performing, Alex is a published composer and arranger of music. Alex has a self-produced CD available which features pieces he arranged and/or composed. In addition to his own CD, he has produced recordings for other singers and instruments, and records sessions in his off time from tours. With his brothers,

Alex played on the soundtrack for the Philadelphia Orchestra documentary, “Music from the Inside Out”. Alex also composed one of the pieces recorded for the documentary. With a background in both classical violin and fiddling, and an ability to play not only the violin but also the viola, mandolin, guitar, double bass, percussion, and piano, Alex is an artist that can produce any style of music.
