This last weekend was sure a busy one. I went up to Los Angeles for two days of performance with our wonderful full color laser system. On Friday (day 1) I was at the largest underground art facility in LA called "Abundant Sugar". They offer everything from Classes, lectures, performance, art instruction and so on. On this night a private show was happening in where I witnessed some amazing performance. Everything from spoken word, fire hooping, trap ease , and lecture to poetry and dance party. Plus some of the best mushroom jazz I have ever heard by DJ Leif from San Diego. And in the middle of all this, I am amazing everyone with a laser show that not too many people have seen (so far). Using our volumetric audience scanning system, I was really wowing the crowd.

Day number 2 I was performing at the Taglyan Complex. It’s a fabulous Armenian church located in Hollywood on Vine street. I was asked to provide a laser show for "Anusara Yoga". Anusara is a school of hatha yoga, which unifies a life-affirming Shiva-Shakti Tantric philosophy of intrinsic goodness with Universal Principles of Alignment. 200 of the top yoga instructors in the world came together for the teachings of Anusars founder and world renown Yoga instructor John Friend. Part of what they used Taglyan for their workshop is because of the religious background and spiritual value of this location. Second, because it has some of the most breathtaking architectural design in the entire world. The ceiling alone is a 5,000 square-foot, circular stained glass ceiling. The largest of its kind in North America. In addition, to this wonderful piece of art decor, its also powered by a state of the art LED lighting system. While John was working with his students, I was using the laser to create waves over the heads off all who were in attendance. As john was talking about what each color represented to the body, I was creating that same color. Not only was it a spiritual event for all who attended, but it also created a wonderful sense of relaxation for the people watching. The consensus that I received after, was very positive. People were amazed at how vibrant the colors were during the class. Plus how the lasers smooth motion just added to the experience overall.

On my way home to San Diego I felt happy. Happy, for being involved in two fantastic events that had a whole lot of love rapped up in it, plus the spectacular venues that I have seen. I am also proud of what this laser system can produce. Its easy to say that it impacts me because I work with lasers. But its really satisfying to have people truly appreciate it and thank you so much for doing what you have just done for them.

Thanks as always for reading. DJ Pat

After two long days at CMAA (Golf convention in San Diego) I spent all day ( Friday the 12th) designing a new lighting treatment at the stone brewery. To take you back a little on this one. Blisslights had done a lighting treatment for the make a wish foundation a few months previous. It was from this we were approached by Greg Koch Co founder and owned of Stone Brewing company here in San Diego. They were having a holiday party for his 400 plus crew at there brand new multi million dollar bistro and brew house in Escondido. He wanted to have us come in and design lighting for his party. We thought it would be fun so we agreed (pictures can be seen on the Blisslights webpage). We used our BL 50's in the bistro and brew house. We also used our LSA units to create some wonderful architectural landscape lighting in there garden area as well. I must say that it really looked spectacular and the response to our product was overwhelming. This was a one night set up for us. So we took the lighting down at the end of the night.

Approx one week later I received an email from the GM of the brewery, asking what it would cost to have the lighting back on a more permanent basis. They also wanted something special for Valentines day as well. Once a quote had been generated, and approved we were off and running. For the Valentines day weekend, we designed a special version of our BL 15 with a red laser and white cloud. After the weekend we will be installing BL 50's in the resteraunt prenatally. They also purchased our LSA20G's for the garden area as well. At this point stage one is complete. Stage two will happen one week from now when I do the permanent install of our product. I will be Blogging more as the project gets underway. We are very excited about the project and we think its going to be a hit with the patrons as well as the employees. Please feel free to head over sometime, try an award wining beer, have a great lunch and enjoy the best laser effects on the market!

Its almost 6 am... I think I should lay down now. Nighty Night!

ITS BUSY!

Hey Everyone, DJ Pat here. Its been a busy and exciting week here at Blisslights. Randy, Erica, and the rest of the crew are at Mobile Beat Las Vegas introducing a new Volumetric Audience Scanning System to the world! Its truly amazing and you have to just see it to believe it. I will keep everyone posted on the progress of this system. On another note, Alan and I are keeping busy at Golf Industry Show at the San Diego Convection center Feb 10th and 11th. Its basically all the big golf resorts from all over the US, looking for new and interesting ways to either, build, advertise or enhance there respective club. Everything from, product in the pro shop to gold carts, to board room design to food products, to you name it. And Blisslights is right in the middle. Yesterday we talked with people from, Ohio, Louisiana, Texas, Connecticut, Florida, San Francisco, Arizona, Michigan, and... I lost count after that. And that’s all in one day. I don't think I stopped talking for more than 5 minutes. Well, today should be no different. I have yet to find out how progress was in Vegas but I will soon find out. This Friday I will also be starting a permanent lighting treatment and design for the Stone Brewery corporate office, brew house and bistro in Escondido CA. Looks to be a fun time. I will keep you posted.

Cheers, DJ Pat

Hey everyone it's DJ Pat! Today's weather is perfect outside, me and my girlfriend Danielle decided to head up to Disney for the day. For all of you who didn't know Disney's Pixie's Hollow features the astonishing BlissLights in the fountain. The lighting has turned it into such a magical place. If you are ever at the park make sure you stop by afterdark to experience the lighting for yourself.

A New Old One...

I went to up to the corporate office today for a meeting. Its always a great time when I go because I know that once business has been discussed it on to Randy's office to show me new toys. Randy Johnson not only our laser designer, but the creator of our spectacular Blisslight product. He really does some amazing things with lasers and I always have a front row seat for his new creations. So after my meeting, I strolled into his office to see what he is working on next. He actually had nothing new to show today. But he did have a projector he designed years ago that was at Alan's house (Alan is the president of the company). He fired up the marching and I was in aw. The first thing I said was "we need to start to market this one!". I hope he took it to heart, because it was way cool. The only way I can describe it, is like our nebula cloud. I am going to push for production on this one no doubt.
